  • Welcome to our bedroom, the space in our home where we spend the most time! We've opted for 100% modular furniture with no built-ins or carpentry work to maintain a minimal design and reserve this space solely for sleeping. All our clothing and accessories are stored in our walk-in wardrobe next door. For our bed, we chose a Serta mattress which we snagged during the Taka day sales at a great price. Remember, prices are negotiable; channel your inner auntie or uncle to score some freebies and discounts. If they resist, employ the "WALK AWAY" strategy, which tends to work wonders. In our previous temporary home, we slept on $200 Shopee beds, which wreaked havoc on our necks and backs. We highly recommend investing more in your bed for better sleep quality. We also added an IKEA display shelf to showcase some scented products and our wedding photo.
  • Our lights were purchased from Taobao. Initially, our interior designer recommended that we avoid using any hanging lights because they might sway when the fan is turned on. However, we deliberated on it and decided to proceed regardless, as we always sleep with the AC on. Surprisingly, in the end, the light didn't sway even with both the fan and AC turned on! So, feel free to go with it if you like.
  • We sleep with our doggo, so having an air purifier is a must for us. It ensures that the air quality is always maintained at a healthy level. This is especially important because our bodies recover during sleep, and we don't want to be breathing in dirty air.
  • We got our side table from JC Teak Furniture in JB. I must applaud their ability to replicate any design you give them. Since they use real wood, the quality of the item is definitely much better than what you can find online. Plus, the price is reasonable, especially with the favorable exchange rate.
