  • Take a peek into our bedroom! We don’t usually include this room in our house tour as this room as it is a private area and a personal space of the house for the both of us.
  • The only item in the bedroom that is a bold colour is our statement bedframe. We chose to get our bedframe from Loft Home as it is customisable., Having a storage bedframe was a priority for us as we did not intend to do a built-in cabinet. We were able to customise our bedframe with the type of material and colour we wanted! This colour really caught our eye too hehe
  • As such, we have kept this bedroom relatively simple. A place in the house where there are no distractions. A place that serves it purpose — to sleep. This room has colours that are comparatively duller to the other rooms too. The paint we chose was not a light beige like the others, but it is a light grey with a tint of blue. Our bedsheets are on the muted colours, as well as our curtains! Colours are very important to our mood and feelings. So intentionally, we choose colours that invokes calmness after a long day at work.
  • Having an air purifier was a game changer! We were gifted this Sterra air purifier, and we did not really see the importance of having one before. Now, we wake up with lesser sinus and coughs.
  • Unpopular opinion but we decided not to do any built-in cabinets for our room. One of the reasons was to keep within our budget. But the other main reason was for us (or more of the Wife) not to shop too often. Even our perfumes, skincare and others were limited in this storage organiser. So it really got us thinking of what we really need and don’t need. Being house owners really changes you to become an adult, Is this the start of a minimalist lifestyle?
  • Whereas on the end of the chest of drawers, where its visible from the living room, as shown in the first picture, is where we display our momentos and pictures of ourselves. Eventually, we might be doing up a gallery wall here too!
  • And to welcome us into this room, is this big lantern lamp that is a great alternative to the Hay paper shade. This one lamp is enough to light up the whole room, with a soft warmth, adding onto the vibes.
  • And that’s it! Simple and straightforward. Hope this post has been beneficial to those who are looking for a home that does not break the bank, yet having an aesthetic home. See you next week!
