This is no doubt our favourite cosy corner at home :)
We love chilling out at the sofa, be it using our phones, bonding with the kids or even taking a short nap! 😴 We actually bought this 3-seater sofa online without trying it out beforehand, and we were lucky that the seats turned out quite firm and very comfortable 😌 Tip: Go with an odd number of cushions of different sizes as it looks better visually. We did a 3 + 2 combination and played with textures to add more depth ✨
For our carpet, we chose a neutral shade as it’s easy to match the rest of the furnishings and contrasts nicely with our vinyl flooring. It’s very comfy to sit on and our kids love playing with their toys here everyday! Tips: Ensure that the sofa legs rest on your carpet, and not outside of it. The length of your carpet should also be at least 6-8 inches longer than the length of your sofa. We picked a round coffee table so it’s safer for our kids and we like how the fluted design gives it a more interesting look!
This is how it looks like when we switch on the lights. No regrets doing a false ceiling so we can have these nice recessed downlights - we used 3000W warm white, 12K bulbs 💡 Last but not least, the wall to wall day curtains was one of our reno requirements right from the start, and we really love the final look 🤩 We hope this post inspires you to create your own little cosy corner too ☺️ Follow us on Instagram @ northshoreloft for more home and styling content!
