  • We put in a lot of thoughts to our dining space. It is the area where memories are built based on good food, wine and fun. As such, this space is also the concept challenge we give to our long list designers whom we finally shortlisted to the final duo.
  • The dining space is segmented with a laminated ceiling cladding. We were inspired by a showroom we visited in one of the 2022 new launches. The concept of the dining area in the showroom was distinguished with a reflective ceiling cladding. We loved it. We spoke with some friends and one pointed out the flaws to me. The modesty and the cleaning needed and honestly, I wouldn't have thought of all that. As such, we dropped the idea and decided to go with lamination. The cost is also slightly lower too. To create the ambience, we opt for pendant lights and cove lighting to give a soften illumination. All in the hope of delivering a superb dining experience to our guests. We have also deliberately keep the wall blank so we can put up pieces that we love. This art piece's venue was the F1 1970s Grand Prix in France.
  • Each dining experience with guests is different with a slight change in the dining set, cultery, placemats and central decor. We have several combinations to mix and match to create a different ambience. We have 3 sets of plates, placemats, cultery sets and napkins of 8 pieces per set. Imagine the amount of storage we need to keep them :P
  • The dining table is extendable. The original length is close to 1.8m and it is sufficient to seat 6. The current set up with one extension panel is 2.3m and it seats 8 comfortably. Each extension panel is 50cm and the longest at 2.8m can seat up to 12. We have only used the 2.8m setting once in the 5 years we owned this table.
  • Alfresco dining at the balcony to change up the dining experience. To elevate the experience, we created the ambience with candles and playful placemats.
