  • This is our open concept kitchenette and since it was in good shape when we bought the house, we didn't have to renovate it at all! (The only thing that we didn't quite like was the cabinet built above the fridge because that actually limits our choice of refrigerator)
  • Our kitchenette is located beside our dining area and living room and it is a dry kitchenette.
  • The only thing we changed was the tap and placed some suction hooks to hang towels and scissors so that those are easily accessible to us when we're cooking. We didn't really fancy the small round basin because it was too small to our liking and there'll be a lot of splashing when we wash our pans and the water tends to flood the countertop. (We've never used the wall plug situated beside the basin as well)
  • The countertop space is very limited and it can only accommodate two appliances. When we cook, we'll usually remove the kettle from the countertop temporarily because the oil tend to splash around. (If given a choice, we would place the power point farther away from the stoves so that we don't have to worry about oil splashing onto the appliances)
  • Our overall kitchen storage. Everything is kept hidden in the shelves (e.g. dish rack in on the right, power switches are on the left) but we usually keep the right shelving door open so for better ventilation. If given a choice, we would probably opt for a mixture of open shelves and shelves with doors and we won't build the cabinets all the way up to the ceiling (it's unused because we couldn't reach it).
