Our entryway is kept spacious and uncluttered with any form of furniture on the floor, utilizing the same sophisticated dark theme seamlessly applied to the living room and kitchen! You might be wondering where could our shoes be. Hmm.
Our DB box is located right behind our door and we recently installed a 4 piece mirror with the purpose to check ourselves out and enhance the look of spaciousness in the house. You guessed it, our shoes are kept inside the db box! It is sufficient for us, that explains that we didn't need additional shoe cabinet or racks for our footwears!
As we enter the house at night, we would be greeted with our industrial design customized short wire to prevent the light getting hit by our door. The light shines upwards that gives a nice shadow!
We kept every colour as seamless as possible by keeping a constant colour of black. Our door is also installed with door seal to prevent dust and insects entering the house. Though we do not have a lot of shoes, but we have work shoes that we wear daily to work. We placed a BTO door mat between the gate and door, and put our daily used shoes on it at a corner!
We have installed a portable light between the gate and door as well giving some light as we enter the house and placing our shoes!
Here is the look of our BTO door mats! One located between the gate and door, and another is outside our gate! We do not think that a shoe rack is needed here either as we didn't have a lot of shoes to begin with!
This area serves as the initial point of contact for visitors, setting the tone for the rest of the home. They are greeting with a seamless black gate with narrow gaps, black door wraps, google doorbell watching them, cute entrance door mat, and black shoe bench!
