  • Hi again! Let us bring you through the design of our entryway! The first thing you see when entering our home is this half-height cabinet where we keep our robot vacuum and place our keys. We switch up the décor here depending on the occasion. The white hook on the wall was used to hang our Christmas wreath.
  • A closer look at how we customised the carpentry to keep the huge auto-cleaning docking station of our robot vacuum. Our ID designed this cabinet with removable shelves, which we decided to remove so can we can open the top of the station to refill water without having to move it in and out. The removable shelves are super useful for extra storage if we change to a smaller model in the future. Do make sure you have the exact measurements of the docking station beforehand if you want to do something similar!
  • Our layout came with a tiny nook beside the DB box. We originally wanted to have a small settee here to sit and wear our shoes but as the space is pretty shallow, we chose to build a full-height shoe cabinet here instead.
  • This side of the entryway is our household shelter. We went with a simple carpentry with the grooves painted black to hide the door. The husband likes to joke that we wouldn't be able to find our household shelter when there is an emergency because the door is hidden so seamlessly.
  • It is a simple tic tac door! We chose not to create more storage here as we didn't want the walkway to be too narrow, else we might have encountered difficulty moving in all our large furniture and appliances.
