  • Welcome to my serene bedroom retreat—a place where calm reigns supreme, and every design choice reflects a commitment to rest and relaxation. As both the designer and homeowner, I'm thrilled to share insights that could guide new homeowners in creating a similarly peaceful haven.
  • The heart of this bedroom is its spaciousness and simplicity. With dimensions generous enough to include a queen-sized bed without feeling cramped, the room's layout is thoughtfully arranged to maximize flow and function. Unique features like the sleek door frame, walk-in-wardrobe and the understated, yet stylish pendant lighting contribute to the room's modern appeal. However, the true essence of this space's tranquility lies in the color palette. Soft, neutral tones adorn the walls, complemented by the defined flooring of natural wooden hues and earthy stone floor tiles. This carefully curated selection of colors not only enlarges the space visually but also instills a sense of peace essential for restful sleep.
  • Furniture arrangement was a deliberate process; each piece was chosen not only for its aesthetic but for its contribution to the overall serenity. The bed, placed centrally, anchors the room, while the mismatch side tables and unobtrusive storage solutions ensure that clutter is kept at bay—a must for maintaining a calming atmosphere. The strategic placement of the stool by the mirror invites natural light from the master bathroom, finished with fluted glass with frames to elevate the room's spaciousness.
  • Our lights are designed to be mismatched. a hanging pendant light and a reading wall lamp on the other side. We ordered this side table online, but was pretty disappointed with how it looked when it came, so we DIY this table with the concrete stand and stainless steel finish and reuse what we can and turns out, it compliments the bed pretty nicely!
  • Walking in, you are greeted with a splash of colour- a Ronan Bouroullec print on the wall. Love this odd shape mirror as its angles not only makes us look slim, but breaks the monotony of straight edges.
  • We love the pop of colors on our pillows from Sojao!
  • We had to find a certain size to fit the space for a side table, and my husband chose this, twisted wood side table from Rooma! Also can use as a stool if we decide to take this beauty to the living room cause its such a pity to be hiding in the corner. For those keen on practical tips, consider blackout curtains—an essential feature I've incorporated to encourage deep, uninterrupted sleep. They not only block out external light but also help with temperature control, contributing to the room's comfort.
