  • Hello everyone and welcome to our house hunting post!🫶🏻 It will be exactly 9 years of having this place since getting our keys on the 18th of November 2015 and what a journey it has been. Let’s start the story time!😆 Our house hunting journey was a quick one. We knew we didn’t want to wait 4 years or more for a BTO so we didn’t try for one and went straight to the resale/sales of balance flat route. I remember we looked at a maisonette for our first viewing but decided it was not for us as the previous owners did not maintain it well and it would be very costly to overhaul the entire place. We continued our search which brought us to Adora Green. At that time, the project had already been completed and people have already starting moving in. Our unit was placed back on the market by the developers as the previous buyers had backed out at the last moment due to personal reasons. Because the development was already finished, we could view the home in person before deciding. It was actually the second place we looked at and we immediately decided on it on the spot hahaha. We jumped at the chance because it was on the market at the original launch price and was the last unit available. So you can imagine how exciting it was when we got the unit!🥹
  • This unit ticked all the boxes for us: - high floor - southeast facing (no direct sun) - corner unit (more privacy) - minimal/no reno needed - location (yes Yishun is actually not that bad guys 😂) The layout of the blocks is such that no 2 units are directly facing each other and even if so, there will be quite a distance between them. Makes it harder for us to spy on our neighbours hahaha. There’s a garden on the 3rd floor with shared amenities like bbq pits, playgrounds and a badminton court. SAFRA yishun is also just across the park from the estate so we can pretend like we’re living in a condo with full facilities whenever we want to use the swimming pool or gym.🤪
  • Got this from ERA website because it’s been 9 years and I can’t find all the papers from back then. Our place is not that close to yishun mrt or northpoint city but we much prefer it this way as it is quieter and less busy being away from the main street. Besides, it is still within walking distance or 3 short bus stops away. We also have yishun park hawker centre just 5mins walk away, it has our favourite mala and har jeong kai chicken wings. It’s the main reason why we don’t want to move house anytime soon hahaha. It’s the food. Food is life!🤤 Oh and there’s a few good schools nearby so that’s good too for our future kid/kids.👍🏻
  • Our floor plan which I finally got around to posting hahaha. Got this from property guru because can’t find our papers. Our home isn’t small but it isn’t exactly big either. It’s just nice and has enough rooms for what we need right now. Plus, it’s easy to maintain and upkeep haha. Who knows what the future has in store but for now, we are very happy where we are.😌
  • That is all we have for this post. Thanks for reading about our home hunting journey! See you on the next post!🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♂️
  • As usual, bonus photo of fur babies.🤭✨ This was during one of our usual walks around our estate hehe.
