  • Welcome to the cutest room in our home - Our Daughter's Playroom! :) I have a lot of fun crafting this space to make it enjoyable for our daughter, yet keeping it practical and safe. This is the only room with minimal built-in, so we have the flexibility of changing the layout and style as she grows. Can you guess what is her favourite colour? :P
  • With the help of these closed cabinets, we are able to keep (hide) her growing collection of toys, books, and craft supplies without looking messy or cluttered. These cabinets are customisable. There are a few colour options to choose from. You can also customise how many shelvings to suit your storage needs. Bonus points for having round edges and soft closing (except for the pull-out drawers. Sadly, they do not come with soft closing). The height of the cabinets are just right for kids to retrieve and keep their things on their own, encouraging independence.
  • Displaying things that she likes. - rainbows and cute animals.
  • This customised jelly cat bunny is a gift from our dear friend when she was still a newborn. The pink whale is actually a tissue holder. But it can't fit regular tissue boxes. So, I use it as a controller holder instead.
  • We kept the built-in wardrobe simple with the same laminate as our master bedroom.
  • We still use a playmat as it provides comfort and cushion our bums from the hard floor. Plus, the mat can be easily cleaned and sanitized after use, great for messy play.
  • This is the other side of the room, where there is more storage, a play kitchen and a table and chair to do her crafts, writing, painting, etc.
  • DIY a googly eyes smiley face on her chair. :) "Everything's better with googly eyes."
  • My favourite decor in this room. 🩷
  • We make use of this wall to display her artwork and things that she is proud of. Can you spot an art piece that resembles her pet fishes?
  • Her favourite Baa Baa Sheepz and a very cute and meaningful art by @themustardseenstudio.
  • Storage Baskets are great for keeping random items lying around the room.
  • Another storage basket feat. her linabell collection.
  • Ending this post with her Little Affirmation Corner. It is never too early to start using affirmations with your kids. It helps promote positive thoughts and feelings that can help them overcome fear and self-doubt, making them more resilient in the future. I caught her reading the poster to herself a few times. It's a cute sight. :) Stay connected through our IG @rachieehome.
