  • Welcome to our kitchen! This is fast becoming one of my favourite spots in the house as I start exploring recipes.
  • Here’s our lovely island and dry kitchen area! We actually kept most of the cabinets intact - the previous owners had only renovated 3-4 years ago - but changed the cabinet doors and laminates other areas to match our desired aesthetic. We were lucky that the island and marble countertop were already built as it’s a key feature of the home. There’s even a small nook with a pull out drawer for dry snacks and teas, which allows for easy access.
  • The water dispenser has been a game-changer as we don’t have to wait for boiled water or ice.
  • We love the ample storage, where many appliances can be hidden away when not in use, leaving the countertops clutter-free. It’s also helpful that the oven and microwave are built in.
  • We had our contractor build a display shelf to showcase some of our handcrafted cups or souvenir mugs! Some features to point out is our simple human dish drying rack, which holds an impressive amount. Together with the wine glass holder, it’s very useful for us as we like to host! Another feature we like is the “self-draining” spout that flows directly into the sink. We mainly use the drying rack despite having a dishwasher left by the previous owner, as we just can’t get used to it! We also have a knife set and holder from Stanley Rogers (a gift from our dear friends),
  • We also have a Nespresso machine, an airfryer (a must!) and a blender.
  • There’s also sliding doors that prevent odours from leaving the area if we ever do heavy cooking. That’s about it - our compact kitchen that is just the right size for us! Thanks for reading!
