Welcome to our cosy living room - we will be sharing more details about the hidden storages in our living area, how we utilize the corners to hide appliances or place decor and share some of our little trinkets! 😇😇 Also proud to say; the space is sooooo cosy that at least 80% of our guests said that they feel like falling asleep here 🤭 This was the original state of our living room before we did a mini makeover. We felt that the space looked a little dead and decided it would be more ideal to spruce the space up with a rug and coffee table! 🤔 The difference was night and day, the rug immediately created a homely vibe and the coffee table allowed us to have movie night snacks & serve drinks to our guests easily. Moving on to our hidden storage, our favorite feature of the house is our bay window/settee. Besides doubling up as hidden storage areas, our guests enjoy sitting on it to enjoy the view of our estate’s rooftop garden! 🪴🌱 PS; instead of letting the space between our sofa and settee go to waste, we decided to hide our subwoofer, keeping our living area looking clean. ✨ As the ends of our settee were going to have limited space for drawers, we made the decision to have flip up doors instead. This allows us to fully utilize the settee’s capacity while ensuring it is still accessible! 😌 Remember the little nooky? Now that we have gotten our little catto, it is finally being used!! We decided to build a space for him so that there was a comfy hiding spot for him to rest. 😍😍 The other end of our settee is being used as a little display corner featuring dimoo, a framed sundae kids print and everyone’s favorite doughnut lamp from IKEA! PS: consider adding some plants to corners of the house to make the space look livelier~ Decorate your sofas with your favorite cushions, it adds character to the space and added comfort. We occasionally love napping on our sofa & having the cushions makes afternoon naps way better. 😴 Instead of leaving our coffee table empty, we are using it as an additional display corner! Peek our little ghost incense holder which we got from Korea, he looks like he’s fishing 🤣 also more dimoo figurines because he is our fave popmart character! Also big fans of pastel decor as we feel it softens the look of the space considering our color palette is mostly neutral. Thinking of how to store your cleaning appliances? Build a nooky for them! To ensure we have sufficient storage, we decided to build a hidden cabinet. Added a little gap for our dreame robo vacuum to dock and it saves lots of space! PS; do ensure your measurements are right with added buffer if you are intending to do this! How the inside looks! Besides being the docking area for our robo vacuum, it also serves as additional space to keep the parts of our Samsung Jet too! & that’s it for our living room post; featuring Mr Exercise Smiski! Our tips for making your living room cosy? 1. Choose soft colors to decorate the space 2. Add more cushions & a throw would be lovely 3. Consider having a carpet to anchor the space 4. Add lamps for extra cosiness on gloomy days and nights. we hope you guys enjoyed this little sharing! 💖
