Our mini walk in wardrobe is within the master bedroom just next to bed. We sealed up the original entrance to the masterbedroom and opened a walkway through j's study instead. Oour wardrobe is L-shaped to give it a walk in feel and just enough storage for the both of us. We customized a simple dresser with mirror extending from our wardrobe - minimalist and functional. 
The sealed original entrance gave us an additional 2 door wardrobe space and also some privacy.
