  • When we received the initial renders from our interior designer, we reminded ourselves to keep our expectations in check, understanding that the final outcome might not mirror the visuals precisely. After all, they served more as a guide. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that what our designer could achieve aligned closely with our envisioned result! Before we dive in, just a disclaimer that the images depict the original renders, following which we made modifications reflected in the reality pictures. Also, I must admit, my photos hardly capture the beautiful work of our ID — they're much more impressive in person!
  • Let's begin with the kitchen, where the majority of the cabinetry work took place. Here, we opted for a lighter cream colour instead of the initial white in the render, aiming for a more muted palette. We think the outcome was pretty spot on!
  • Moving on to the dry pantry area, we decided to replace the cupboards with drawers for enhanced accessibility and functionality. No regrets on that front.
  • Now, onto the guest bathroom—the only render where you'll notice a significant difference. Originally, we intended to keep it simple, but as tiling work started, our designer proposed incorporating more wooden elements and a diverse tile combination for the shower area. We trusted his decision and we love the final look!
  • Please excuse the phone on stand, told you I was bad at this!
  • Next up, the master bedroom—my favourite part of our home. We absolutely love the green and wood combination, with our only tweak being to standardise the wardrobe colours, as we wanted to avoid additional darker elements where possible.
  • Lastly, the master bathroom. We couldn't find an affordable version of the mirror as in the render, but we stumbled upon a stunning wide mirror from HipVan that perfectly complemented the space.
  • So, what's the verdict? Did our final outcomes closely resemble the initial renders? We'd love to hear your thoughts!
