Working from home calls for a functional space, so we decided to transform our spare bedroom into a cozy little office! We knocked down the wall and removed the old door frame to open up the space. Our goal was to design a more open, airy workspace that would enhance our well-being and prevent the feeling of being cooped up. After considering several design options for our office door, we opted for a custom sliding door that opens in the middle to maximize space. Here's a peek into our workspace! Since we were designing a custom door, we decided to have some fun and experiment with different glass door styles. Honestly, it was tough to find door style ideas online, so I ended up doodling on my iPad to visualize the design I had in mind. Inspired by my silly little doodle, we went with circular glass panels to complement the dome light in our dining area. Our interior designer’s carpentry work turned out amazing, and we have to say, this door really is a showstopper! We positioned our desks facing each other to ensure more privacy for our individual work and less distraction during meetings. We also positioned the Billy shelf to block our desks on purpose so that visually when you look into the office, it is less cluttered. On the other hand, it serves as an extra counter top when we need more space. Tell us what do you think of our workspace! :)
