  • Hi guys! It’s @_nullhaus back with a tour of our balcony! It may be a compact 3.4 x 0.94 meter, but we’ve added some charm to make this little spot feel inviting and comfortable.
  • A quick throwback of how the space looks like before we took over and invested our heart and soul in.
  • While our balcony is a little different than usual, it was also without a proper roof—a total mystery what inspired the architects to leave it out. Without any covering, it always felt too exposed, and we couldn’t shake the concern that something might fall on us while we were trying to enjoy the space. Spoiler alert: not only is it costly to add exterior roofing, but HDB actually restricts residents from making permanent changes that alter the building’s exterior.
  • I was determined to find a solution that was both pretty and functional, and after hours of browsing our favourite site, I finally found the perfect retractable awning for our balcony without breaking our banks.
  • To add an extra touch, I also found a retractable table and two weatherproof high stools to complete my little balcony setup. It’s giving café vibes, don’t you think?
  • We were doing really well with our Monstera family until the heat took a toll and fried them up. You can check out our living room post to see just how much sun we get—even with the awning open!
  • How the place vibes at night with the solar powered fairy lights.
  • This is our favorite spot to unwind in our space. I hope you enjoyed this little tour! Until next time!
