  • Hey there 👋🏻 Welcome back to our home. Today we're bringing you through our not-so-typical living area. Hint: We have no "proper" sofa! (What?! 😳) Oh, and no TV (?!?!?) Hahaha, let's show you around~
  • We got a 4 room BTO and we found the space really tight, so we decided to knock down 1 bedroom to create a larger area where our pallet sofa sits at. Now, you must be wondering, why pallets? Well, we collected these pallets in an attempt to DIY something creative, but ended up getting a customised tatami mat and cushion from Taobao to spruce it up into a sofa! We swear, it's much comfier than how it looks lol. This space was perfect for a quick nap or when we host bigger groups of friends. It's also where we sometimes sit to eat and watch shows on our projector on our thrifted coffee table.
  • Here's the view from the pallet sofa! We used loose furniture we picked up over the years to furnish the main living area to keep it flexible. We love that its individual and low chairs, which makes things cosy and intimate. Furthermore we can switch the chair positions up anytime, which is the main reason why we love this layout.
  • And yes, we also have no TV! Reason being we both don't watch television much, and prefer to catchup on our youtube/netflix on our personal devices. However, for movie or game nights, we rely on our projector where we screen on our plain wall. Can you guess where our projector is? 😏
  • It's in the left corner! We placed a small stand to project it at the perfect height, and with the flexibility to bring it into our bedroom when we're just too lazy to sit outside.
  • Our projector is from Lumos, and the reason why we chose this brand over others was because the frame quality was great for its price point! It has become a staple in our hosting nights to provide entertainment to our guests.
  • Lastly, decorating our little nooks contain pieces that we dearly love really pulls the whole living room together. We love showing of our items from decorative tea towels to even musical instruments – these are things that really make your house a home. Till next time! ~Nay & ZQ
