  • Hi! Starting out our post with our final render for our living room. We did the renders only after our tile/wall vinyl selection/layout options had been discussed and finalized with our ID, so we didn’t have to do any revisions to the render. One minor thing we didn’t like about the render was that our ID picked very scandi-style furniture to populate the render which was not the style we wanted.
  • We also made a separate render just to figure out what accent wall paint colour we wanted for the living room! This orange paint was an alternative suggested by our ID but in the end we all preferred the green much better.
  • This was the starting point for our living room! As you can see, there was a bedroom facing the kitchen, which actually prevented a lot of sunlight from getting into the kitchen.
  • After hacking the room, the whole space felt much airier! We particularly love the open feeling created by having the direct line of sight through the house.
  • And here is the final look when we first moved in! It ended up looking pretty much exactly like our render except for the furniture choices. We opted for a curved sofa, to enhance the open flow of the space.
  • About year later, the space became a little more lived in. We were still deciding on getting some storage + seating option by the window, so we set up a camp bed in the area as a placeholder to see how we liked living with that spatial arrangement. We also started to play around with our dining table arrangement to change up the space based on our needs.
