Renders vs Reality: Classic Farmhouse 4rm HDB Living Room Edition

Starting a mini series of Renders vs Reality! These are going to be some never-shared-before renders that's seeing light on the internet for the very first time! 😂 We have an ID, but we were very hands-on with the design and style even though my brief was very Classic Farmhouse from the beginning. From this living room render, you'd think it has more mid-century tones, which I didn't really like...
So I turned them into this! Instead of darker wooden carpentry and lighter floor colours, I've flipped them around so the house looks way more brighter.

And instead of a full length cupboard, it became half length. We'd wanted to cut costs, but it turns out to be a wise design decision since it looks so much better, and we're able to display items and put some essential items e.g. sanitisers within easy reach when we're rushing out of the house!

You'd also notice from the render that the position of the dining table has switched. We wanted more room to host, so the render's configuration would mean a bigger entryway but a more squeezy dining area. This would be of no issue if it's usually just 2 of us, but I love hosting and wanted a table that is extendable (see tagged product on 2nd image), hence we switched it in this position. Thankfully, the space was more than sufficient even when it's fully extended to 1.8m in width! Renders vs Reality to be continued to the next post :)
