  • Welcome to our master bedroom! We've stuck with a clean, minimal design for our bedroom to help us relax and unwind after a long day. This meant keeping to light coloured laminates, having soft ambient lighting options, and choosing calming colours like sky blue and light grey for textiles. To maximise our storage space while maintaining a sense of openness, we have a half-height island to separate the cabinet area instead of a full walk-in wardrobe. Curved corners further soften the appearance of our carpentry.
  • As the sun sets, our master bedroom is often bathed in a contrasting golden glow. When this happens, we love to dim our lights and soak in its beauty.
  • Keeping our half-height island clean and open also meant having to find an alternative way to install our dresser mirror. A pull-out mirror is a simple solution that meets both our needs. The height of the wall light was then carefully measured to ensure sufficient lighting without causing any glare to our eyes.
  • Our headboard was customised to include warm LED lighting. We've also installed power sockets and light switches on the headboard itself so that we can toggle around with the lighting without having to climb out of bed.
  • A closer look at what a simple strip of LED can do for the bedroom's ambience in the evenings.
  • One of the unique (and almost hidden) features of our bedroom is our night lights. Inspired by lighting in hotel rooms, we purchased recessed stair lights and had it installed under each of our bedside tables as night lights. We also repurposed the cutouts (for our sink/stove) from our kitchen countertop for our bedside tables. The subtle travertine pattern of the sintered stone complements the pale wood laminate beautifully.
