  • We're zooming in on our living room for this post :) Scroll down to see the intricate soft furnishings that we've added to keep to the classic farmhouse design, with floor to ceiling windows. The one important built-in feature are the wooden beams on our ceiling, which acts as the "support" of the roof, although it's a HDB... 🪵
  • Apart from our entryway built-in that acts as a storage and seating area (more in our dining room post), there are no other built-in storage area in our living room. Since it's a 4-room flat, we decided to keep things fluid in case we need to move things around in the future. To segregate the space between dining and living, we have the sofa and world map to "mark the line". While we want to keep things cosy (think a rug below the sofa), but the man of the house has decided against it due to the need to run our robot vacuum every other day while we're not home *ahem technology*. I didn't push against it since we have a bunch of cushions and other soft furnishings to cosy up the space (see hanging chair below). For the sofa, we've opted for a 3-seater that also converts to a sofa bed. This was useful for last minute friends crashing or us taking an afternoon nap. We also purposely chose a colour that's vastly different from the rest of the living & dining space so it stands out more and break the monotonous brown & wooden tones.
  • One of my favourite parts of the house - the hanging chair, which acts like a centrepiece (and a guest favourite) of our home. 🥰 Just like the projector (see master bedroom post), this hanging chair was a furniture I set my eyes on before we started our home renovation journey. I had told my ID that I specifically wanted it to be hung beside the floor to ceiling window to admire the view, have a cup of coffee or read a book, and just stay cosy. As we don't have a balcony (4 room flat hoes), this chair also marks as a segregation to our "mini balcony". P.S. tagging a Spotlight version as the HOOGA one seems to be OOS already!
  • Finally, shared this image multiple times as it gives a good glance into our living room space with our TV console and swivel TV. As our dining table is right next to our living space, the swivel TV allows us to turn right towards us when we're eating and catching up on our shows, or turns left when we're lounging on the swivel chair. However, the downside of this is not being able to hide the cables since the TV is propped up on the wall and we don't have a built-in to hide in. Something to consider if you're hard on cable management, otherwise we just make do with the mess sometimes, and clean it up when we can't stand it anymore haha!
  • Ending off with the sunset hour in our living room :)
