  • Our bedroom has always been a place for us to unwind and rest for the night. When designing it, we always keep in mind to keep it minimal, simple and clean. See something amiss? Yes, we do not have a bedside table yet as we have not found one that fits with in our master bedroom. Still on the hunt...
  • Deciding on the position of our bedside lamp was challenging as we needed to guess what the ideal height would be before we had even bought our bed. Our design theme for the lights in the house was to avoid any direct light, which is why we chose the Kepler light from Sol Luminaire. It also had a reading light function which is great! As you can see the texture on the wall, it is the same limewash paint finish as the rest of the house.
  • Our master bedroom door is painted in the same limewash colour as the rest of the house, and is also seamless as we chose the velto door from 8doors.
  • For lights in the master bedroom, we do have both cove lighting as well as down lighting. However, we'd often use the bedside light only once we're in the bedroom at night so that we may prep for bedtime. We bought a firm King Koil king size bed and have had no regrets thus far. Nights often end sooner than they should once we're on the bed as it's just so comfy.
  • For our wardrobe, we had hacked the old wadrobe and installed a new one in front of our bed. Due to the small distance between the wardrobe and the bed, we needed to carefully decide on the door. We eventually decided on this slide and open door so that we may see the entire inside of our wardrobe when opened. The handle was also designed with intent to match the same theme throughout other handles in the house. Fortunately, it has succeeded in both form and function!
  • Another design element of the wardrobe is this hanging rail to put those "not dirty enough to wash" but "not clean enough to put back" clothes. It's definitely come in handy!
  • For the LED strips in the open areas of the wardrobe, we had informed our contractor to keep them hidden behind a wooden part so that the light is diffused onto the wall. Turned out better than we thought!
  • Another unique structural element of the bedroom is this bay window area. For now, it's used to showcase Keaton's and Pattinson's Batmobiles. With a Batwing to build up as well, should I dress up this area into a Batcave? Riddle me this...
