Welcome to the heart of our home, our living room! Here, this space assumes two roles – one as an inviting dining area and the other as a cosy corner for relaxation. Our ultimate aim? To keep the living room open, breezy, and spacious. 
In our dining space, even though there's only two of us, we chose an expansive table that seats six as we enjoy cooking and hosting. While we initially considered a bench, we settled on dining chairs, prioritizing the comfort of our guests. 
While it might seem like a minor detail, we made a deliberate choice to introduce a gentle curvature to the walls in our dining space, all in the pursuit of creating a soothing and relaxed ambiance. Adjacent to the dining table, there's an arch with shelves where we've displayed decorations collected over time. These items hold sentimental value, some from consumer trade shows and others from our trips overseas. Recognizing that our sofa would be our primary perch, given our shared love for watching TV, we selected an L-shaped sofa with adjustable backrests. It's a decision we've relished, allowing us to not only sit comfortably but also indulge in the luxury of reclining. 
One of the first items we purchased while waiting for our keys was our TV, a Samsung Frame TV. We were drawn to its clean, seamless appearance when mounted on the wall. To bring some color and vibrancy to this space, we placed a faux plant next to the TV, neatly tucked into a seagrass basket. Being a month-old homeowners, we're still in the midst of ideating our home decor. We've been contemplating a few ideas, such as adding wall art around the TV to accentuate its effect and introducing a rug in front of the sofa to establish distinct areas within the living room.
