Hi everyone, we are @_firstoctober! The theme of our home is mediterranean, which was inspired by our holidays in Europe, especially Spain! 
When we were house hunting, we had quite a few layout considerations. Some of our preferences included a square layout, the ability to have an open/ semi-open concept kitchen, and large windows to allow as much light to reach the house as possible. After a long search, we finally found our home. 
We carefully sourced our furniture and decor from various places to complement our mediterranean theme. One of our favourite items is our coffee table set, which we carried back from Indonesia. 
Our dining table was placed behind our sofa, partly because we wanted to be able to watch Netflix while having our meals! We incorporated various small elements, like this wall-mounted light and faux hanging plant, to enhance the mediterranean theme. 
We enjoy meal prepping and cooking together, so it was important to us to maximise countertop space and storage for our kitchen. We first saw this mirror on Pinterest and fell in love with it. After some searching, we found it on Taobao, and the seller was also able to help us customise the size too. Fun tiles for our common bathroom! We love how well the different tiles go together. We added a cabinet door with an arched, fluted design to bring a touch of interest to the kitchen. We took a bold choice to go with a terracotta coloured bed frame, and loved how it turned out!
