  • Welcome to the living room - simple and fuss-free! Our cosy corner to unwind/Netflix and chill after a day's work. We chose Castlery's Owen Chaise Sectional sofa because it's really comfortable and 🧑🏻 loves a deep sofa where he can sit cross-legged comfortably on the sofa. We've come to the conclusion that the sofa has sleeping powder because everytime we lie down on it, we'll naturally feel sleepy. The perfect place for a nap indeed. Our living room features only day curtains because if we ever need a darker living room, the ziptrack at the balcony does the trick - a consideration you should make if you are wondering whether it's necessary to get both day and blackout curtains for your living room.
  • For our entertainment setup, we went with a Samsung TV + Soundbar combo because of its seamless connectivity. Initially, we had a slight concern about the size of the 65-inch Q65C considering the distance between the TV and our sofa. However, after the last few months of usage, we've agreed that the 65-inch is definitely an appropriate size for this living room and actually adds to the immersiveness when we're watching a movie together. The soundbar decision is the product of thorough research by 🧑🏻. We compared soundbars like the popular SONOS Arc amongst many and decided that the Q990B was really a bang for our buck. Instead of modular purchases like the SONOS products, the 11.1.4 channel Q990B comes as a set with a soundbar, subwoofer and 2 rear speakers. One regret though is that we didn't really take note of the dimensions of the subwoofer beforehand and to cater space for it. We only realised its immense size during the unboxing and found out that it couldn't fit in the space between the floor and the concrete settee. However, because we now place it on the settee, it has become another surface where we can display our mini Christmas tree!
  • Behind our Owen Chaise, we've included this glass-fitted arch cut-out to maintain as much of the spaciousness of our original living room space. The glass arch also helps to connect the study and living room even though it might be two separate spaces. The rear speakers are mounted manually using ULTi Wall mounts and they can be adjusted to hold a variety of speaker/soundbar with different dimensions.
  • This coffee table is the embodiment of our home design. With a rattan bottom and fluted glass top, this coffee table set spoke to us when we first saw it and the rest was history. It does require self-assembly, but it was pretty easy to fix!
  • The newest addition to our house are the plants. This Ficus Elastica Burgundy from The Flora Hub is a great indoor plant alongside our other Snake Plants in the house. Indoor plants such as these help to remove contaminants and purify the air. Plus, they do not require much sunlight!
