  • Happy Sunday everyone! I’m back with another post, this time around our shared kitchen 🤭 Living in a shared flat means that the kitchen can get quite crowded... So making the most of this shared space is key. Here’s how we’ve made little changes to our rental kitchen to fit our needs - while keeping things functional and stylish!
  • My favorite part of the kitchen is definitely the large and deep kitchen sink, which makes tidying up a breeze! 💦 The extendable faucet is a huge plus as well, with both a water column and shower mode 🚿 Having a shared space means keeping things clean and organized for everyone, so we added over the door hooks for kitchen towels, adhesive sponge holders and a multi-tier dish drying rack. Now everything has it’s proper place 😌
  • Having glass cabinet doors and open shelving means that everything needs to be displayed nicely! For this, we chose simple, stackable dinnerware in a clean white color 🤍 To save space, we also opted for smaller sized kitchen appliances, such as this convection electric oven and 0.63L rice cooker.
  • While our shelves are open, we also have hidden storage for larger appliances such as our washer and dryer. Keeping the cabinets closed when they’re not in use gives the kitchen a more put together feel, while having retractable doors means that they don’t take up extra space when open. While we’re on the topic of washing… As someone who works in the fragrance industry, I’m a big believer in using scent to elevate your space! It’s a bit of a splurge, but Aesop’s hand washes are an amazing addition to the kitchen 🫧
  • We also have pull-out shelves and drawers that keep everything organized - from utensils, kitchenware and pantry ingredients. Nothing beats a well-organized kitchen, especially when you’re sharing it with other people! When cooking, I tend to reach for Modori’s Sodam Stainless Cookware. I love the stainless look and non-stick ceramic coating, but also that it’s stackable and comes with a detachable handle 🍳
  • We don’t have a proper stovetop in our kitchen; instead we use a small induction cooker. While not the most ideal when cooking up a storm, it’s a great space saving solution when you have limited counter space 😅
  • And voilà! Even with a limited, shared kitchen space that wasn’t designed for a lot of cooking, I’m still able to make amazing meals like this 😋 I’d love to hear how you make your kitchen work for you, especially if you’re also sharing the space!
