  • Two bathroms, two design concepts - but still cohesive with the rest of the home, drawing design elements from the rest of the home to keep it consistent!
  • Let's head to the common bathroom first, where you can see it's currently used by our kids who are 3 and 6 years old - hence the bath toys. We requested for the edges of the toilet countertop to be rounded for the kids - not so obvious in the photos but this is something parents can take note of and request!
  • The herringbone design of the subway tiles is an element you will notice in our kitchen tiles backsplash. The tile colours have a blue-green tinge, which is also a colour which is consistent with the rest of the home.
  • Something which I wanted for both toilets were ambient lighting, which we would usually switch on at night. This makes a nice decor touch as well, in our opinion! The light is usually kept on throughout the night for my elder daughter when she uses the washroom, the gentle lighting will help ease her eyes from the transition of the darkness of her room.
  • The master bathroom has a bit more elegant finishing, with marble tiles and gold finishing. Again, the consistency of the herringbone tiles is an element we kept on purpose to ensure the design is well integrated with the rest of our home. Other design elements drawn from the rest of the home include marble wall tiles which is inspiration from the herringbone subway tile kitchen backsplash. The carpentry colour is the same one we used for the kitchen cabinets as well!
  • Something we did do differently with our kitchen cabinet from the common bathroom's is to have a built in toilet mirror cabinet.. as you can see this is a must with all the products we have!
  • Not sure how you'd feel, but despite having two different concepts for two bathrooms - we do feel that it ties in with the rest of the home as we drew elements to keep it consistent! Let us know your thoughts or connect with us on Instagram @thedeeshive!
