  • Hello everyone, welcome back to our 4th post! In this post, we'll be sharing about our living room! Our living room is the area that is most utilised as it's where most of our gatherings/ drink nights takes place at. As shared in previous posts, we hacked down one of the bedrooms, and that expanded our living/dining area significantly. We even have people telling us our home looks more like a 5R than 4R flat! Hacking the wall down also allows us to have conversations with whoever is at the dining area that is directly behind our sofa, which is ideal for us as we love hosting our friends! There are also some small details like curving the ceiling - something that our ID suggested and we love, that helps soften the look of our home.
  • The living room features our DIY lime wash wall - a project that we took 2 days to complete! There are a couple of stand-out pieces in our living room; one of them being our swivel sofa that we bought from Taobao (*psst: there's a similar one on Hipvan!). It adds a fun element to the house, and it's something different from the usual standard sofas/ recliners, which we didnt think would fit well in our home. We are not fans of exposed wires (as much as possible), therefore we opted for a false wall to mount our TV on, where the cables are hidden!
  • The coffee table is also a unique piece that was found with many many hours of scrolling on Taobao! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality after unboxing. One small regret is that we could have ordered it in a slightly larger size :)
  • The mister loves camping vibes, and thus we have an electric fireplace at home! A very common question that we have from guests would be - is it hot air? Fun fact - it actually works like a humidifier! But considering that the tank cannot be removed or washed, we refrain from adding any essential oils to the water added, therefore only vapour is emitted from this! Another piece of furniture that a lot of people ask about would be our TV console. It really is a "chef's kiss" piece made by our ID's carpenters, with the same laminate. It features a tic-tac downward door, of which conceals the bulky tank part of the fireplace, as well as scents that we use in the diffuser for convenience :)
  • Check out the vibes when we bring the curtains down or at night! That's all for our Living Room! Follow us on IG at @hausofsoh to see more of us!
