  • The mattress was the first thing we bought. Mattress is a deeply personal item. The exact level of firmness is not something you could describe in words. So we spent weeks going into show rooms to 'lie down on the bed'. We finally narrowed down to this Simmon mattress, which has proven to be the best investment. The bedframe we opted for something still in the warm oak theme and yet comes with a ton of functions. At the side of the headboard, you will find nooks that u can put books or lotions for your easy access. Two USB ports are also located on top of the headboard so that you can charge your phone. There's also a LED light sensor strip under the bed, which has been very useful at night when we want to head to the bathroom.
  • We then added a sideboard because unfortunately we have ran out of storage space. Malm storage drawer was perfect oak colour to go with the room. We also styled the table top with little knick knacks, alongside with our Hipvan Bridget lamp. Perfect for when we are resting on the bed, and binge watching on our ipad.
  • A tip that i've received from a bedroom stylist on instagram is to use books to create interesting layers to stack your knick knacks. A bonus OCD tip from me is to not remove the plastic cover on the book so that it is easy to wipe the dust away. I would say 'A' for cleanliness but a definite 'C' for aesthetic.
