  • Welcome to the entryway of our humble home! This is the view that we are greeted with everyday when we return home :) Continue scrolling to see some personalised details we added to accommodate our lifestyle!
  • Here's a look of our main door. Having a digital lock was a no brainer for us as we didn't like carrying (or forgetting to) keys when we were living with our parents. I mean, who likes being locked out of their home because they left their keys out? There were many brands out there but Luxus had a groupbuy promo going on when we were waiting for our keys and we got them at a good deal, with the door slider and letterbox lock complimentary. We also engaged a door wrapping service on Carousell and wrapped the main door so match the overall look of our home. Spot the curved detail overhead! This helps add a softer touch to the entire house, which was the directive we gave our ID when we first met her.
  • Turning to the left would be where the DB is located. Like what you see here is this picture, we concealed this by having full height doors, adding extra storage space within! Make a guess what is stored inside? :P
  • Haha no points for the straightforward answer - Shoes! Our ID suggested keeping the width same as the wall so that the area feels as spacious as possible, given the limited area to work with. Fun fact - we realised we were able to fit more shoes with them placed in a 45 degree angle rather than just flat on the surface! We also chose to have the tic-tac mechanism for the door so that it would be easier to open it when we come home with our hands full.
  • Beside it is a short settee that we added. This is where we offload our items (e.g. groceries), or take a seat to put on our shoes! The rounded edges also avoids us being casualties (lol read: clumsy) As for the cabinets here... you guessed it! They're also meant for shoes. Despite its small size, it can store up to 18 pairs of shoes!
  • On the right of the entrance would be our bomb shelter, which we also concealed with similar limewash laminates that are used around our house. Can you guys see the small little curved detailed added to the side as well? Perhaps a bit redundant to some, but it really ties in the entire theme of our home. Similar to the DB box area, we kept the extended width from the bomb shelter door to the concealed door to a minimum, giving us only a 4-5cm distance between both doors.
  • Here's how it looks like semi opened!
  • Ending the post with this shot! Hoping to engage with more of your on Hipvan/ IG! Give us a follow, and look out for our next post!
