Welcome to Simeitaiji! This is the first space you will enter when walking into Simeitaiji. We have chosen to partition this space with breeze blocks and two black aluminum grills, this is to create good wind flow throughout the house while giving an old-school traditional aesthetic to the space. This is our main living area! We decided to create a space that incorporates both of our styles. All our items are movable so that we can shift our furniture around to create a new perspective of our home. Also, most of our furniture are thrifted! 
This house is a 1313 sqft 5 room corner unit in Simei (of course) which we bought off the resale market. This is the original floorplan of the unit. We decided to knock down the wall of Bedroom 3 to create an extended living area as we love to host family and friends. Apart from Bedroom 3, the rest of the unit remains the same, with some small amendments to the 'Balcony'. This is our second living room! This is where Bedroom 3 used to be. We have turned this space into a creative corner - where we do small art projects, play music and play board games with friends. 
This is our dining room. We custom ordered this dining table from Indonesia and it is perfect for hosting our family and friends. Our dining table originally came with a set of matching chairs but we decided to change it to mismatched chairs instead which has given this space a lovely pop of colour! As we are both coffee lovers, we also created a small coffee area to have our daily coffee! Last but not least, this is our master bedroom. In this room, you will see a clear divide of both our styles - the neat corner is the husband's and everything else is mine.
