  • Welcome to our Littleroot House – named after the cosy starting town in Pokemon! The house is a 4-room resale in Bishan and we fell in love with this airy and well-lit unit, especially because of the huge long kitchen and a spacious foyer entry.
  • This is the final layout we decided on: • Carving a space for a storage inside the smaller bedroom (converted to a WFH study) • Placing a sink vanity right outside the Master Bedroom toilet, which allows for more space in the Master toilet • Open kitchen for better airflow
  • One of the reasons we chose this house – the foyer! Having this extra space for storage and shoes, separating the living and dining, really creates a nice effect on the house! We're gonna try to fill this with more greenery.
  • When we first went furniture hunting, even waaay before our house was ready, we fell in love with the Joseph Bed from Castlery because of the "floating" platform look and the walnut base colour. It came in a set with the bedside tables and was literally the most perfect fit into our room. We also enjoy using Bedtribe's iced bamboo sheets for a cooling effect in SG's hot weather. Ceiling fans are also a must for ventilation!
  • We decided on Samsung's The Frame fairly quickly. The abundance of natural light in our house would mean our TV would experience a lot of glare and gloss if we chose otherwise. Was such a great investment and it functions as an ever-changing art piece when it's on Standby. We also matched the Walnut accents in our house with this surprisingly beautiful IKEA fluted console. It was also the last piece on sale that day (fate?!)
  • A snapshot of our extended sink out of our Masterbedroom! We love that it creates SO much more space for us in the actual bath. But we did have to waterproof the area since we chose vinyl in the bedrooms.
  • The dining room is very spacious and open, and we chose a 1.8m long table from Nitori to ease our hosting of friends! It's the perfect size to host our families as well. All in walnut or darker wood accents! Funfact: our dining set is 5cm lower than normal dining sets (a Jap thing?) but it suits us since we're not that tall anyway XD We also love the HAY dining pendant we got and it adds such a nice wabi sabi jap feel to the house! It's also quite bright too!
  • My personal favourite room in the house – the kitchen. It's the centrepiece, with sage green accents on the lower floor cabinetry! Adds a pop of colour and a much needed boost in the neutral house. We opted for induction even though we cook a lot because of: • Ease of cleaning • We wanna own a cat; we heard it's safer too! A pull down dishrack is also a must because we're really just not that tall...
