    • Here’s one of the rooms I’m most proud of in the house — the common bathroom! ☺️ When designing our house, we knew we wanted to make our bathrooms fun with colour themes, at the same time not looking gimmicky but aesthetic. I’d say our common bathroom definitely achieved that. With a touch of hotel-feel, yet also having a down to earth and homey vibe, we’re so happy with the result (-: and so are our guests who use the toilet when they’re over!
    • This is my favourite corner of the bathroom. Many people are quick to point out how they love the curve~ tbvh we have to credit our contractor who suggested adding a curve to the box-up for hiding our ugly pipings. We feel that it really complements the vibe of the toilet! I also insisted on adding a shelving that runs all the way from the sink vanity area to above the toilet bowl. It’s so useful to put little knick knacks and useful toilet accessories + the light wood laminate goes perfectly with the tiles.
    • Our vanity~ Love the terrazzo sink so much omg (from Modeste - check them out for the best sinks)
    • Pulling some warm hues with this candle (which smells amazing)
    • Another less seen feature in hdb bathrooms is this double shelving at the vanity. Our IDs tried to persuade us against the open carpentry for the sink area bcos of the visible piping, but I think the openness makes the bathroom look slightly bigger and not so boxy and uniform. Plus, I really wanted to have a shelf to put rolled up towels to recreate a hotel vibe🤣 Also, the pipe is sort of visible at some angles, but it doesn’t really bother me, so so glad I trusted my gut and pushed for this! Another thing we wanted was a quartz countertop for the toilet. We’re not really a fan of the look of a clean sintered stone top. Plus quartz is the classic toilet material no?(:
    • If we’re honest, we’ve never taken a shower in the common bathroom before, but we use this shower area for washing our legs when we come home, watering plants, rinsing cleaning tools, etc. So our common bathroom shower area is definitely still well-loved and well-used <3
    • A moment for the tiles - the two types of tiles on the wall are from Hafary, while the b&w ones (my fav) are from Soon Bee Huat. Think the colours and textures and patterns just complement each other so well!
    • The part no one really talks about: where to put the water heater 🫣 First off, we aren’t fans of the instant water heater mainly because of the inconsistent water temperature (a pet peeve) so we had to settle for a chunky water tank. We decided to get Ariston’s aircon-looking water tank bcos it fit nicely just above our door so you don’t really see it (-: it has served us well with no issues so far! On another note, we super love our VYY slide and swing door (‘: got it in a package deal together with the rest of our doors in the house from The Door - check them out!
