Welcome to our dining space! We love hosting and made sure to make this space open and spacious so guests can hang around during meals. We have a 180cm by 80cm dining table and it fits 8 people comfortably (we had dinner with 10 people at one time!) with plenty of space for the food spread. Our pendant light adds a modern touch to our mid-century space. Our dining space is next to our open living room and island so everyone is in close proximity during parties. Our small plant acts as a feature piece on the dining table to create a warm ambience when we don’t have guests over. All our indoor plants get a turn on the table every few weeks! When searching for our dining table, one small detail we looked for was for it not to have a box apron around the bottom of the table. That way, we can cross our legs easily without hitting any table apron. We customised our bench to be 40cm instead of the "industry standard" 30cm and we love it! There is enough width for us to sit (or lie) comfortably and even cross our legs while on the bench. Bonus tip! During our renovation phase, we made sure to have wall plugs near the dining table for hotpot convenience. We use it to charge our phones or laptops too! When hosting larger groups, we use our extended dry pantry to set up a mini buffet line which ties in to our dining space seamlessly.
