The original layout of the dining area in our second home is in between the kitchen and living room. The space is literally compact and we did not want it to be cluttered as well. Hence we decided to shift the dining area out into the balcony. 
It was the best decision made ever! Our balcony could fit a rounded table and 4-6 seater. Facing the greeneries and a breathe of fresh air. Like it was meant to be an alfresco dining style. 
And when we're done with dining, this is where we lay the table for work. Working from home never felt this good!
