  • Hey guys from Ling House, it’s been a minute and we’re back to share about our home workspace/play area! We don’t have a specific home workspace in our home, but that’s the fun of it - we’re able to shift between different areas! Typically, we’d find ourselves between the dining room or the living room island with our laptops. Today, we’ll be sharing with you how our home workspace looks like while working, and our after hours post-work sitch - because we all need a little winding down too!
  • A friend of ours gave us a Samsung Freestyle Projector as a housewarming gift, and it was the perfect gift for us. As most of our home is modular in that our furniture can be shifted around, we loved that the projector was equally portable too.
  • This is how our workspace looks like when the dining room is converted to a working area. Most of our brainstorming sessions happen here, where we toss ideas across the table from each other. However, as it is also where we often host, most times we do have to pack up the space after our work.
  • And this is how it looks like for us post-work! Snacks, happy hour tipples, and chill lo-fi music playing on YouTube :)
  • Coming back to our alternate home workspace: the living room island! After enjoying a quiet morning coffee, this is where we pull out our laptops. Initially, the island had meant to be 1.6m in length, but after more consideration we decided to have it extended to 1.85m - and boy, are we glad we did! With this extension, we’re both able to work comfortably together on the island. We also knew that we’d be using this space to work and needed charging points, so we requested for our contractor to install an electrical point hidden at the back as well.
  • Nothing like some hot tea and coffee with warm financiers to start the day.
  • Come Friday evening, this will be our island ‘after hours’: our projector switched on, lights dimmed, and once again, a table laden with snacks and drinks :) So that’s our before and after workspace sitch, and we’re on to our service yard next (cue: kitty area)! Till next time!
