Today we’ll share about how to achieve an aesthetic home office/study without spending much and without having any built ins at all! We didn’t really do much reno on our study room - the only thing we did was vinyl flooring, curtains and lights. So everything you see here are loose pieces of furniture! We got this standing desk from taobao at a steal - it was only $100+ 🤩 We decided to put our desks side by side to maximise the space available in the room. This would ensure ample walking space and allows you to have more space to decorate or design. Also, all the mess from wires and cables would be kept to only one part of the room 😅
A closeup of my study desk! I’m used to having double screens because my office setup is the same, so the husband has kindly helped me to set this up hehe. (He just took some old monitors from his parents place but it’s fine it works LOL) This is done using a USB C dongle - let me know if you’re keen to find out more and I can get him to do a whole post dedicated to that! To complete the whole setup, I had to get my own dedicated keyboard as well so I got this keychron keyboard and bought some keycaps from shopee to switch up the look a little for that pop of pink ✨
To wrap up the whole setup, we have an ergonomic chair from Ergotune. Sadly, we only have one of this (for now, unless @Ergotune reads this and wants to sponsor us another chair, we won’t say no 🤪), so the husband gets to use it more often as he works from home 4/5 days a week!
A close up of the husband’s setup! As he works from home often, we decided to invest in a better quality monitor and it’s also mounted for a clearer better view. Yes, you got it right, we have matching keychron keyboards!!! He got his first and I love the sound of it so I just had to get a matching one hehe. As for his wrist rest, he decided to go for something more masculine so we got this from Keychron too. In case you’re wondering what those circular balls are, they are actually cute mini desktop speakers from Creative - we love how it’s spherical and also in a nice shade so it blends in really well with the entire look and feel of our house!

And this is the aesthetic corner of the study room! We moved in with just the study tables but I felt that something was missing so we decided to get some inspo from Pinterest and got this Malm drawer (storage everywhere! Maybe for our kiddos next time hehe) plus some decorative items to spice things up a little :) and there you have it, our cozy study space!
