  • In this post, we’re excited to showcase our living room and the design choices that make it a cozy, welcoming space. The living room is the heart of any home, where people gather to relax and socialize. Key elements like the sofa and lighting were carefully selected to create a warm and inviting ambience. We did away with any fixed or built-in carpentry to not only cut down on costs, but also to give us the flexibility of changing our console or cabinets as we (most definitely will) grow out of them. For our floors, initially we were drawn to a herringbone pattern for our flooring. However, due to the limitations of the vinyl, we decided to forgo that idea. In hindsight, this decision worked out for the best, as we realized that a seamless floor design is not only more visually appealing but also helps keep the space from feeling cluttered. For the skin (colour) of our walls, this was also an important factor, as it needed to reflect light and softly illuminate the living room, especially given the beautiful morning sun we receive.
  • We opted for an L-shaped sofa to naturally blend into the corner, providing ample seating and a comfortable spot to lie down and watch TV. The round carpet beneath it defines the space beautifully. We chose a ultra slim 65” TV with minimal bezels to fill the wall and paired it with a curved console for a touch of high-tech elegance. To complete the look, we selected a sleek ceiling fan that not only circulates air but also enhances the minimalist decor. Our objective was to have a living room that aims to blend comfort, design, and functionality.
  • Our Grey & Sanders end table is perfect for our sitting area as it neatly slides beneath the sofa and if necessary can be rotated to become a coffee table.
  • With thoughtful space planning, we even managed to carve out a dedicated area for festive decorations, whether it's for the warmth and cheer of Christmas or the vibrant colors of Chinese New Year. This space allows us to seamlessly incorporate seasonal decor without disrupting the overall design, keeping the living room both festive and functional year-round. May all living rooms always be a place of comfort and joy!
