  • Take a peek into one of my favorite parts of the flat... my safe haven. This is the view from down the hallway and every time I see it I feel a sense of welcoming and calmness from just knowing this is my safe space.
  • Decor-wise, the style definitely leans more towards a Nordic vibe with lighter-colored wood and a minimalist vibe. I wanted the space to be bright but still cozy, so the wood from the Leland by Hipvan collection was perfect. The distressed wood added that touch of detail and texture that made this special. We get lots of light in from this window (and another on my right from this POV) which makes each start to the day incredible.
  • Although bay windows are pretty, I find the space is often wasted and under-utilised, which is what I aimed to avoid doing here. I found this beautiful little makeup dresser that couldn't possibly fit more perfectly on this ledge. Holds all my makeup, plus I get a comfy cushion to sit on during the day and get to gaze out at the amazing view every once in a while.
  • Also created a faux walk-in wardrobe for myself with the second bay window in the master bedroom by adding in a cabinet that holds my bags and purses. This made better use of the vertical space without blocking much sunlight, leaving the built-in wardrobe free to be exclusive to my clothing.
  • Absolutely loveeee how the morning sun hits this corner of the room :)
  • Love the contrast between the wood and the bamboo tree in this part of the room. A bit of green adds an additional level of calm and comfort that's just pleasing to the eye.
