Given how much time we spend in front of the tv, especially with the plethora of streaming content available these days, it is no wonder that our coziest corner is right in the living room. Our sofa was intended to seat many guests, but so far (geddit?) it has been just The Wife and me dominating that space. Having one section of the sofa for each of us means no need to fight as we lounge in the most comfortable position we like. 
Having a sofa in the master bedroom is essential to us as we stay off the bed except when we want to sleep. This allows one of us to do some light reading or watch a show on our device when we need some space away from each other.
