  • As our new BTO flat came without bedroom doors, we had to find a vendor who could install new doors for us. We wanted stylish classic doors that would blend in with our modern coastal theme (instead of plain doors without any design) and found this vendor that allowed us to customize the design we wanted! ✨ 🔘 Door Style: We chose doors in the Victorian-style (as the vendor calls it) as it fits our home aesthetics best 🔘 Core Type (Solid, Semi Solid, Hollow): Among all 3, solid doors have the best soundproofing but are also the heaviest and most expensive. We chose semi-solid for better support on our PVC door frames, which may not be strong enough to support fully solid doors 😯 (according to the vendor)
  • 🔘 Paint Color: We chose matte white instead of the glossy type (default option). Note that the wood grain is visible under the paint layer. Door frames were separately painted matte white to match. 🔘 Knobs or Handles: The typical stainless steel round knob is the default, but we upgraded to matte gold lever handles to match our theme. You can also choose from glossy gold, black and stainless steel lever handles.
  • Note that we used this same classic door for our common bathroom too, although the vendor doesn't recommend it for high-moisture environments due to potential future swelling of the chipboard layer. But we decided to take the risk as we wanted all room doors to match 🙃 The installation went smoothly and there was not much to nitpick! We love how these room doors complete our home aesthetics and would definitely recommend them if you are on a tight budget and want something more than the usual plain room doors :)
